Dog parks have taken root in cities and towns all over the country. The city of Dallas has several excellent parks where canines and humans interact successfully, with few exceptions.
At most parks you'll find separate areas for dogs under, say, 35-pounds and dogs over that weight. Most times there will be water and a few picnic tables available and the atmosphere is quite congenial.
If you're in Dallas for the holidays or just passing through with your dogs on board, have a look at this list of local dog parks. The park at White Rock Lake is the most popular and is scenic, to boot.
If you're traveling elsewhere in the country, select a state on the Web site and find local dog parks where your dogs can run free and proud.
