Oh, so close Padres!

This is going to be quick. Really quick. Usain Bolt running the 100 quick. Not even an article here. More like a musing.

But I just had to mention that today's Padres game nearly made my head explode. Down six runs going into the eighth - sound familiar? - they came back to within 6-5 before falling to the Diamondbacks. After yesterday's game, I had the attitude today that anything was possible, but still! How are they doing this? Those oh so close losses are heartbreaking, but wow! These guys are never out of it!

Okay, I'm settling down. It's just crazy. I never expected to react this way to a loss. I doubt I would if it hadn't followed the remarkable game yesterday. What are the odds of the Padres doing what they did in those two games? One in five thousand? Ten thousand?

What the Padres are doing is mindboggling to me. I just had to say it.
