Summer is over, and it's a good three months before running and biking outside become fun again.  Did I mention swimming in a pool staring at that black line on the bottom for hours a week? Here's a surprise. There is a way to get your triathlon fix on Sundays and Mondays with the cable channel Versus. Versus, formerly the Outdoor Life Network, is broadcasting Ironman events every week during the winter. November’s remaining schedule is as follows:

Sunday 11/23 3 pm – Ford Ironman Louisville (Rebroadcast Monday 11/24 5 pm)

Sunday 11/30 3 pm – Ford Ironman Wisconsin (Rebroadcast Monday 12/1 5 pm)

Don’t forget the Super Bowl of multisport. The Ford Ironman World Championships in Kona is being replayed Saturday December 13 on NBC at 2:30 pm for those of you who missed watching it live on October 11. The Ironman 70.3 Series World Championships is being played on April 12, 2009 at 4:30 pm on NBC. A replay from Clearwater Florida, it’s the half Ironman championship that’s just as exciting as its big brother.

The exciting stories and inspiration you witness by watching these athletes is enough to keep you training through the cold winter months. So remember, set those DVRs to record, watch some awesome action, and get some great racing tips by watching the pros. Until next time, train hard!

Training tip: Put your bike up on the trainer while you watch these events on TV. They make riding inside seem like a breeze.

Check out www.ironman.com for more information and future TV broadcasts of events. You can also get more information on broadcasts of Ironman events on www.versus.com.
