The Georgia Bulldogs have reportedly snagged another commitment out of Florida this week, with it being Jackson, FL cornerback Derek Owens.

The story came via Hays Carlyon of Jacksonville.com (the Web site of local newspaper Florida Times-Union) who broke the news this morning at roughly 10:00 am. Owens is listed at 5'11" and 175 lbs., which means he could add roughly 10-12 lbs. on his frame.

Owens is quoted in the report as saying that he chose the Bulldogs because of the family atmosphere and that he could see Coach Mark Richt being like a father figure to him, much like his current HS Coach Kevin Sullivan is now.

Owens chose the Bulldogs over rival schools Florida, South Carolina and Miami.
