Anyone that knows me basically knows one key thing -- I never quit while I'm ahead. From jokes to my luck at the tables in Las Vegas, it's not my style to stop when I'm having a good time.
This will probably be the first time I've ever actually done so. I'm writing this article tonight to let everyone know that this will be my last article with Examiner. For those wondering, and to refute any Georgia Tech fan's assertions that I'm quitting because my beloved Bulldogs are not fairing so well this season, I'm leaving due to a lack of time to write. I, like many other Examiners, joined this site to write in my spare time about subjects that I'm passionate about. Since it's in my spare time, that means I have another job that takes up most of my time, and it just so happens that my job is seasonal and makes it incredibly tough to pump out good articles in the few free minutes I have daily.
So, I'm quitting while I'm ahead. I've enjoyed the last few articles that I've written, I've received good feedback on them, and before they collect dust, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has added my Examiner page to their RSS feeds, bookmarks, and readers. It means the world to me that you have done that, and I certainly appreciate it more than you will know.
For the time being, Mechele, our UGA Sports Examiner, will handle the UGA Football duties and Paul, our Georgia Tech Sports Examiner, will handle the Georgia Tech Football duties. Please subscribe to their pages and let them know what a great job both of them are doing, because they are doing this site and the fans of those schools, a very good service with their excellent writing.
I will still be posting somewhat often on my own personal blog. Since I'm not going to cheaply promote myself, I'll just tell you to email me at KitZeus99[at]gmail[dot]com and I'll send you the address. I will go ahead and give you fair warning though, I'm much more opinionated there than here.
Thank you again so very much for reading this past year. I have enjoyed writing for the Examiner and appreciate their understanding in my decision to leave. This site will grow across the nation and I wish them all the best.
Until next time kids.
Be safe.
P.S. -- UGA will beat Georgia Tech this year.
