Two days after posting a photo on his now-discontinued Twitter account with what appeared to be marijuana, Miami Heat forward Michael Beasley has checked himself into a Houston rehab facility.
A report said that Beasley is "expected to spend time with former NBA player and coach John Lucas," who endured his own rehab issues during his career.
The Heat did not respond for comment, and the exact reason for Beasley's rehabilitation has not been confirmed.
Beasley's Twitter account, GorillaBeas, disappeared sometime overnight on Saturday after the player posted a picture of his new tattoo that showed two baggies in the background, which some have assumed to be marijuana.
Before Beasley's Twitter account was closed and erased, these three posts were offered:
-- "Y do I feel like the whole world is against me!!!!!!! Back on my FTW!!!!! I can't win for losin!!!!!!!!!!"
-- "Feelin like it's not worth livin!!!!!!! I'm done"
-- "not feelin this at all!!!!!"
It is not clear how long Beasley will be staying at the facility.
