Pull out your lighters and honeybee-themed clothing. Stryper is coming to Vegas.
The Christian rock band was formed in Orange County, California by brothers Michael and Robert Sweet and guitarist Oz Fox. Stryper stands for Salvation Through Redemption Yielding Peace, Encouragement and Righteousness. Isaiah 53:5, which is featured beneath their logo, reads "by His stripes we are healed."
Known for their yellow and black spandex costumes and extreme hair, the group reached the height of their popularity in the ‘80s but disbanded in the early ‘90s.
Their new album, Murder By Pride was released on July 21, 2009, exactly 25 years after the release of Yellow and Black Attack. Reuniting on the 25th anniversary tour, Stryper will also reunite with yellow & black clothing designed by Ray Brown, who created their classic outfits for To Hell with the Devil and In God We Trust.
Stryper will appear at Sante Fe Station on Friday, November 13. Tickets are $25. This is a standing-room-only event and you must be 21 year of age or older.
