Hulk Hogan signing with TNA Wrestling yesterday, October 27, will most likely be the professional wrestling story of the year.
Here is a recap of yesterday’s events that developed after Hogan and TNA made their partnership official:
- Eric Bischoff and his Bischoff-Hervey Entertainment joined up with TNA as well.
- The upcoming Hulkamania tour of Australia coming up in November will still go off as planned, and will not be changed due to Hulk Hogan signing with TNA.
- According to Pwinsider.com, there have preliminary discussions between TNA and Ric Flair, Hogan’s opponent on the upcoming tour of Australia. This could be part of the deal that brought Hulk Hogan and Bischoff-Hervey Entertainment into the company.
- Part of the deal that Hogan, Spike TV and TNA Wrestling have all set up with each other would allow SpikeTV to get the first look at an apparent Hogan/Ric Flair reality show that is apparently in the works.
- Last night on Larry King Live, footage from the TNA/Hogan press conference in New York City aired. Hogan told King that he was not sure what he'd be doing in regards to TNA, saying that the upcoming Australia tour would be a test for him in-ring wise. He also mentioned to King that he might do an American Idol-type reality show aimed at finding the "next" Hulk Hogan.
- PWInsider also adds that the thought right now is that Hogan will be a regular personality on TNA Impact but will only wrestle sparingly.
- His new autobiography My Life Outside The Ring, co-authored with Mark Dagostino, was also released today.
