There are so many dogs waiting in breed rescues and animal shelters that are in need of loving homes. They often make the very best pets, as though they seem to appreciate a good family when they have one.
If you have ever walked the hallways or the rows between pens of Denver Dumb Friends League, Table Mountain Animal Center, or any of several other shelters in Colorado, your heart has reached out to wagging wishful canines looking up to ask, "Will you please take me home?"
