Dock diving dogs are a big attraction at the Larimer County Fair.
If you have seen these water dogs compete on television, maybe you would like to see them in action as they get big air jumping into the water to retrieve a dummy. Usually retrievers, dock dogs that reach the farthest before hitting the drink get the prize.
Retrieving is a function of the hunting dog. Often that requires water retrieves. This makes retrievers and other dogs from the sporting group particularly suitable for dock diving; a fairly new game in the world of dogs. Training begins in small steps. Read more here.
