Dryland race 2008
Mark your calendars, dress in layers and winterize your car. It is soon time to head for the dog sled races. Never been to one? See the Colorado Mountain Mushers (CMM) Web site for more information. E-mail them to ask what to expect.
November 14 -15 - Adventure Unlimited Dryland Event, the first scheduled race for the new season. To be run in Buena Vista, Colorado, the races include a 1.2 and a 2.7 mile canicross. The entry form provides details.
If you are interested in competing, contact the CMM to learn how to train and condition your dog and yourself for future events.
Dryland races take place before the snow covers the landscape. The accompanying photo illustrates the event. Dogs are not all sled dog breeds. Here is a link to a Photobucket album.
