 Part 1 of 3

If you live in the Tampa Bay area and you have a job - that’s good news. If you’re looking for a job - that’s bad news. There was only one job listed on Craigslist  for Hernando County.  The potential employer had so many applicants there was a note on the job posting not to send in any more resumes. There were so many, they couldn’t read them all.

With all that’s going on in the national scene with the healthcare debate, it seems that the Washington elite and the crazy people at Town Hall Meetings screaming about Nazi’s in our midst, have forgotten that there are millions of people out there with no job, no money and of course - no health insurance.

MSNBC has reported that the second leg of the foreclosure crisis is on the horizon. In addition the to abysmal numbers in personal home losses, predictions that the collapse of the commercial real estate market is on the horizon.

No business, no jobs.
No jobs, no economy.

If you didn’t think it could get worse, think again.

In “The Five Stages of Collapse”   Russian engineer, Dmitry Orlov says, “I watched the Soviet Union collapse, and, since I am also familiar with the details of the situation in the United States, I can make comparisons between these two failed superpowers.”
Orlov added, “I was born and grew up in Russia, and I traveled back to Russia repeatedly between the late 80s and mid-90s. This allowed me to gain a solid understanding of the dynamics of the collapse process as it unfolded there. By the mid-90s it was quite clear to me that the US was headed in the same general direction.”

“Commercial and political collapse, are driven by financial collapse, and will overlap each other. Right now, it is unclear which one is farther along.”

There is debate among those who have been following Orlov’s correlation between the U.S. and former Soviet Union as to what stage we are entering.“Each stage involves the loss of faith, or trust in some key components of the status quo.”

The 5 Stages of Economic Collapse are:

1-Financial Collapse
2-Commercial Collapse
3-Political Collapse
4-Social Collapse
5-Cultural Collapse

Most students of Orlov's theory agree that we have past stage 1. Some believe we are up to stage  5.

Regardless of where you are on the economic ladder, there is no denying the United States is in trouble.
