Thanksgiving Turkey
Happy Thanksgiving - Can't wait to dig into the Turkey

Thanksgiving is a time for thanks and good food.  It's the best day of the year to share a feast with friends and family.  Many get together over a traditional home cooked meal, then watch football.  Others make it a tradition not to cook, thus avoiding a major clean-up job.  If you're one of the later folks, Orange County offers numerous places to go on Thanksgiving.

For a one-stop location to determine where to go and make reservations at the same time, Open Table is an excellent source.  They list some of the most desirable Thanksgiving menus in Orange County and Los Angeles.  If you're not having dinner with the usual relatives at home, it might be hard to choose a place to go this year.  In addition to Open Table, Citysearch posts a Thanksgiving Planner that notes impressive restaurants, catering options and where to pick up a take-out turkey.  You're bound to find a tasty venue to celebrate Thanksgiving using the provided links, but if still unsure, Gayot posts a helpful Dining Out for Thanksgiving Guide that reports additional information and some supplemental crossover.

And since many are in a tough position this year, it's nice to know that the Orange County Salvation Army is striving to meet the increasing resource challenges to ensure that all families have a happy Thanksgiving.  There is always something to be thankful for.

BONUS:  Be sure to check out the Fall Recipe Cookbook and Thanksgiving 101 for terrific recipes and fun ideas to celebrate Thanksgiving.  The Angelfood Cake Souffle is a fantastic after Thanksgiving dinner dessert that's always a hit and easy to make.  Happy Thanksgiving!
