The Heard offers an in-depth nature education on our 289-acre wildlife sanctuary, where kids can learn about nature and animals during guided hikes. Experience a never-before-seen spring exhibit featuring an exotic collection of diamonds, gems, precious metals, rare minerals, pearls and fossils. Many of these specimens are on loan from exclusive collectors and some have never been exhibited in public. Details | Enjoy being immersed among native Texas fluttering butterflies in our butterfly house. See monarchs, julia longwings and question marks.
