I absolutely and completely detest, despise, cringe at the thought of and avoid public restrooms for myself, much less for changing my child's diaper.  I cannot tell you how many times I have changed him in the backseat of my car or even with him standing up so as to avoid these places.  Both options have some pretty...ummm gross consequences at times.  What to do?

Well, I feel like a genius for coming up with this one, but I'm sure about a million other moms have done it before, but here it is:  I use my changing table pad from the changing table that my son has outgrown.  I have read all sorts of uses for the table itself once it has been outgrown, but not for the pad.  I now store that pad in the back of my SUV and can change my son with such ease that it's almost scary.  It's sturdy, waterproof and easy to clean.

So, my recycling tip of the day:  go green!  re-use that changing table pad.

(Any suggestions for when he's potty trained? :) )
