Tiger Woods's Wife: The Nude Photos Hoax!

Do not attempt to mess with a cornered Tiger, or his wife. Tigers may seem cuddly but just ask Sigfried and Roy about what a seemingly tame tiger can do.
Wikipedia.com described how nude pics of a blond resembling Elin began circulating on the internet, with text claiming it was, in fact, she. Actually they were of Playboy model Kim Hiott. In the interest of journalism, I checked out the photos, and Kim is no slouch herself.
Wikipedia.com further noted that despite repeated denials, Irish magazine The Dubliner published an article "Ryder Cup Filth for Ireland," which displayed the nude photographs of Hiott and again claimed they were of Nordegren.
Hiott didn't make any comment as far as we know.
Woods sued. The Dubliner issued an apology for the story, saying that they had printed the photos as a "satire of tabloid publishing."
The old satire defense may have worked for Larry Flynt against Jerry Falwell, but he wasn't facing Tiger.
Wikipedia.com noted that after the suit,in November 2006, the Dubliner had to publish a lengthy apology plus a few hundred thousand in court costs.
So, I am going to be extremely careful about what I say about Tiger, and his wife from now on.
