The Invicto has a beautiful dark brown wrapper with a classic cuban-like triple cap. The cigar was firm to the touch with no noticeable soft spots. The cigars construction appeared to be excellent. The wrapper's aroma was leather and tobacco while the foot's aroma was sweet smelling.
I used a punch cutter on the cap. As I tested the pre-light draw, I tasted a sweet / tangy flavor from the wrapper.
After lighting the cigar and taking a few puffs, I could taste coffee and earthy tobacco. The ash was firm and held to the cigar for a good inch and a half. The one thing that surprised me about the flavor was the absence of any spice on the exhale. Normally, that is a signature of a Pepin cigar.
The coffee and tobacco profile pretty much carried this cigar from start to finish. Smoke time was about 45 minutes. I would consider the Don Pepin Garcia Invicto to be a full bodied, medium strength cigar. To me, this is a no-brainer for a recommendation. The cigar was very enjoyable and flavorful. Another great cigar from one of the industry's masters.
