Happy Halloween!  Looking for veggie-friendly ways to celebrate?  Wondering what to do after the party?  Keep reading for information about this weekend’s vegetarian events.

Thursday, October 29

7 p.m. – 10 p.m. DC Vegan Drinks Halloween Bash
Bread & Brew, 1247 20th Street, NW, Washington, DC  Metro: Dupont

Celebrate Halloween veggie-style.  Come in costume for an evening of food, drink and music.  There will be prizes for the top three costumes.  Tickets are $8.  The organizers are taking song requests.

8 p.m. Vegan Baking Webinar

Vaishali Honawar will share vegan baking tip and recipes for Whole Wheat Vegan Challah, Banana Nut Bread and Pumpkin Cheesecake with a Walnut Crust and Sour-Cream Topping.  Vaishali writes the Holy Cow! vegan recipe blog.  The webinar costs $25.  Click here for more information.

Saturday, October  31

8 p.m. DC Area Vegan Meetup Halloween Bash
Private Residence, Arlington, Virginia  Metro: East Falls Church

Singles, couples and families are all welcome at the annual Halloween bash.  Possible activities include dancing, apple bobbing, a piñata, and outdoor fireplace.  The food is potluck.  Please bring something vegan (i.e. no dairy, eggs, flesh, honey, gelatin, etc.) that is ready to eat.  There is no room for food preparation.  Click here for more information or to RSVP.   

Sunday, November 1

12 p.m.  Celebrate World Vegan Day
Vespucci, 10579 Fairfax Boulevard. Fairfax, VA

Join the Vegetarian Society of DC for a special all-vegan brunch.  Brunch costs $20 per person, plus tip.  Individuals will pay the restaurant directly.  Click here to RSVP.
