5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Boo at the Zoo
3001 Connecticut Avenue NW, Washington, DC Metro: Woodley Park-Zoo/Adams Morgan and Cleveland Park
Experience a wild night of trick-or-treating with animal encounters at the National Zoo. Dig for termites like a sloth bear, diagnose a bald eagle, make an orangutan nest and more. Plus, there will be 40 treat stations, keeper talks and Halloween decorations. Tickets are required for everyone over the age of two. They cost $15 for members and $25 for non-members. Saturday night is already sold out.

4:30 p.m. until dark Family Group Costume Party and Vegan Halloween Treats Picnic Area #7 in Rock Creek Park
The Vegetarian Society of DC is re-launching its family group with a Halloween themed celebration. This event was originally scheduled for October 18.
Thursday, October 29
7 p.m. – 10 p.m. DC Vegan Drinks Halloween Bash
Bread & Brew, 1247 20th Street, NW, Washington, DC Metro: Dupont
Celebrate Halloween veggie-style. Come in costume for an evening of food, drink and music. There will be prizes for the top three costumes. Tickets are $8. The organizers are taking song requests.

8 p.m. DC Area Vegan Meetup Halloween Bash
Private Residence, Arlington, Virginia Metro: East Falls Church
Singles, couples and families are all welcome at the annual Halloween bash. Possible activities include dancing, apple bobbing, a piñata, and outdoor fireplace. The food is potluck. Please bring something vegan (i.e. no dairy, eggs, flesh, honey, gelatin, etc.) that is ready to eat. There is no room for food preparation. Click here for more information or to RSVP.
