
Ah, the wicked romance of October. There's something exciting and naughty about going to a haunted house, dressing up for a costume party, or taking a late-night walk hand-in-hand through the enchanted moonlight.
This month, there are plenty of opportunities to indulge in the heady combination of fear and romance. Pick a weekend and a place, and get ready to be scared out of your pants and into bed with your lover!
The LoDo Cocktail Hour Ghost Hunt:
Take a tour of haunted Denver this month, complete with bloody tales and cocktails. The 3-hour tour begins at Corridor 44 (1433 Larimer). Once a brothel, the family who ran it became embroiled in star-crossed love, murder and suicide. And now the ghosts of the departed linger. Paranormal episodes reportedly occur at other locations on Larimer, as well as at the Sugar building, the vault in Union Station, the Oxford Hotel and Mattie’s House of Mirror, all of which are part of this hauntingly good time. Victorian Horrors 2009 at the haunted Molly Brown House Museum
Visit the Molly Brown House Museum (1340 Pennsylvania Street, Denver) this month and enjoy the wicked writings of long-dead authors come to life.
