Many Denverites know about the historic Daniels and Fisher Clocktower on the 16th Street Mall. But most may not be aware that within the underbelly of the Clocktower resides one of the sexiest and most pleasurable venues in town. For some flirty fun this weekend, head to Lannie’s Clocktower Cabaret. We guarantee that, there, you will indulge in a sexy experience to remember. This weekend, Lannie’s features three must-see shows, from sophisticated to bawdy to wild.
Bawdy. For classic burlesque the“Off the Clock” Late Night Burlesque show is a must-see. This show is a bawdy hats-off (or should we say skirts-off?) to the early 20th century variety show. It features comedic interludes, flirtatious skits, stilt-walkers, rope dancers, and of course, provocative and artful striptease routines. This is no-strip club, ladies and gents, the women at “Off the Clock” are classy and cute with enough sex-appeal to stop a freight train. Cozy up with your date and sip on a Lannitini for two; or gather with friends around a table of Dirty Martinis--and we mean Paris Hilton dirty--and enjoy an evening of bawdy, fun entertainment. Show starts at 11:30 (yes that’s PM – for all you late night dirty birds) on Saturdays and tickets are $12. Ages 21 and over.
Wild. If you’re looking for something quirky, crazy and classically fun, The Rocky Horror Picture Show Experience on Friday night will fit the bill. The pre-show festivities begin at 11pm, followed by a viewing of the cult-classic film paired with the antics of the live-action Denver Rocky Horror cast. Come dressed as your favorite character whether that is the adorable heroine Janet Weiss, the stud muffin Brad Majors or the Transylvanian transvestite Dr. Frank-N-Furter or one of his Transsexual party guests; or just come as yourself and enjoy the show. Don’t forget to brush up on the lyrics to “Time Warp,” because in the grand tradition of the film, there is tons of audience participation throughout the night – from singing, to dancing to tossing playing cards in the air and more. It promises to be a night of naughty, silly, wild fun. Tickets are $10.
The staff at Lannie’s is out of this world and will keep your drinks flowing, and your smiles blazing. Beware you and your date may leave the venue highly aroused, so be sure to come prepared.
