Vino 100, a wine retail store and bar in Milwaukee’s historic Third Ward, will be hosting an open mic tonight, October 29th. The open mic almost exclusively caters to music, so poets should not count this as a good venue for reading their latest pieces. Skilled songwriters, however, will find Vino 100’s open mic night inviting and supportive.

Writers of any level can bring their lyrics and music to Vino 100, even if they do not have access to proper accompaniment for the piece. Provided with sheet music, an expert pianist is on site to provide backing.

Also on site is a PA, so you can bring amplified instruments with you for use with the bar’s sound system. The open mic begins at 8:00PM at 102 N. Water Street, Milwaukee, WI. While Vino 100’s address is on Water Street, bear in mind that the main entrance is just around the bend on Erie Street.

Unfortunately, this venue is not ideal for all of Milwaukee’s writers, but those who find themselves in the lyrical niche will enjoy Vino 100. Tonight’s open mic is just one of a series, hosted every Thursday indefinitely, with any exceptions typically noted on Vino 100’s online calendar.
