     Auburn University Spectrum Alliance will be hosting a screening of Parvez Sharma's acclaimed film "A Jihad for Love", the world's first documentary film on the coexistence of Islam and homosexuality.

Parvez Sharma will be flying in from New York to attend the screening & lead this important discussion!

The event is co-sponsored by Auburn University Spectrum Alliance, AU Multicultural Center, & The Center for American Progress.

This is a free event and refreshments will be served.

The film will shown Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at 7:00, in room 3195 Haley Center.

"In a time when Islam is under tremendous attack from within and without, 'A Jihad for Love' is a daring documentary filmed in twelve countries and nine languages. Muslim gay filmmaker Parvez Sharma has gone where the silence is loudest, filming with great risk in nations where government permission to make this film was not an option."
