At the end of The Big Bang Theory last night, a message popped up for about 2 seconds.

I believe that inherent within the God-given right to the pursuit of happiness, is the equally God-given right to the pursuit of unhappiness. That is why I support gay marriage.

I was able to "rewind live TV," as the commercial says (and realizing the show is not "live" in the sense of "live action") and take a picture (0f very poor quality).

Lorre calls these vanity cards, this was number 231.  At number 261 he wrote that he was no longer going to write his own thoughts, but those of others.  But 231 came before that.

Number 257 is his "Official Biography."  It starts out "I was born in a women's prison in Mississippi. My mother was serving a life sentence for shooting her boyfriend's roommate. According to court documents, her defense was, 'I was aiming at my boyfriend.' My father was a prison guard who would later in life write and illustrate a children's book about a rooster who enjoyed the attention of many chickens..."

Number 255 did not air. Read the censored version.

I could go on, but since all of the cards are entertaining each reader can go to the site and determine how much time they want to spend reading.

Back during the summer Orbitz released an ad featuring a golfer wearing a shirt with the Human Rights Campaign logo.  Orbitz has long been a supporter of the gay community.

And if you were really observant, you saw the same logo on the cap of relief worker Marcus Lorbeer (played by Pete Postlethwaite) in The Constant Gardener. This was not product placement, as HRC was unaware that the cap would be worn in the film.  In fact, its still not clear whose idea the cap was.

In July 2007 Parade magazine published an article titled "Time for a Family Reunion!," which included a photo from the author's husbands family reunion.  In the photo, along with the flag bandannas and Uncle Sam hats, plain as day, was a rainbow flag, which to indicated an inclusive family.

Anyone else see these or other indicators of inclusion or equality in the media or entertainment?

Update:  My previous post about anti-gay right wingers threatening a coup had the original video of "Jim from Oklahoma" removed.  I found the video elsewhere and you can view it here.
