In the spirit of Valentine's Day, I've decided to share something for which I have a profound love; a love so deep it borders on obsession. I love lists.
I love all kinds of lists. Daily to-do lists. Places to go lists. Grocery lists. Wedding and baby registries. Guest lists. Lists of books to read. Those crazy countdowns on VH1. Rolling Stone's lists of the top 100 whatever. The 5 Top lists on www.msnbc.com (with subjects like 5 Top Michael Caine movies or 5 Top teenage pregnancy songs...and yes, this last one is real. You can find it here). I even make lists of lists I want to write such as "The Top 10 Reasons Why I Love Hair bands" and "5 Things I Hate About Elmo" (actually, that last one has been written already. I just feel I need to write another one). Unfortunately, all of this list writing and reading uses a lot of paper. Plus, I tend to lose the lists and can't remember what's on them (this would be why I write the list in the first place). What is a disorganized list lover to do?
The answer to that question is simple...use the power of the Internet! Sites such as www.tada.com and www.thingamalist.com allow you to establish an account and manage all of your lists on-line. Google notebook allows you to store anything you might be searching the web for in one place (no more scattered pieces of paper when you're pulling together ideas for a birthday party or ingredients for a huge Thanksgiving dinner). If you've ever had a wish list, then http://www.makeuseof.com/dir/wishlr-create-share-wishlists/ is a great site for you (in case you were wondering, at the top of my wish list is being able to read Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse's minds in order to find out what on earth is happening on LOST..if you can grant this wish, I will be eternally grateful). The list of list sites is endless!
If you're a list lover like me, or you're just looking for a way to keep yourself organized, I recommend any of the above sites. Happy list making!
