According to a U.S. Army spokesman, the Fort Hood shooting suspect, Maj. Hasan, is now conscious and talking.

Brooke Army Medical Center spokesperson Dewey Mitchell said this morning that Maj. Hasan is still stable and has been awake and able to speak since the ventilator was removed on Saturday.

Hasan is reportedly the sole shooter in last Thursday’s tragic shooting at Fort Hood, Texas, that left 13 people dead and another 29 wounded.
