So many things happen throughout the years bringing us the Walt Disney World we know and love today. The most memorable thing to happen this week in history is on Nov. 15, 1965 when Walt and Roy O. Disney announced the Disney Florida Project. If it were not for that Walt Disney World would not be what it is today. If at all.

Nov. 9
· Fountainview Espresso opens at Epcot in 1993.
· Worldport, a Disney-themed merchandise location opened at Pointe Orlando (Orlando, Fla.) in 1997.
Nov. 10
· Green Thumb Emporium opens at The Land at Epcot in 1993.
· Magic Kingdom Skyway closes at Magic Kingdom Park in 1999 (5 years after the one in Disneyland closes).
Nov. 12
· Downtown Disney Marketplace carousel opens near the Gourmet Pantry in 1999.
Nov. 13
· Victory Way, the road which connects Osceola Parkway to Buena Vista Drive, was dedicated in 1998 by Walt Disney Imagineers and Disney's Sports and Recreation leaders.
Nov. 14
· Soundstage Restaurant at then Disney-MGM Studios closes in 1998.
· The Disney Club replaces the Magic Kingdom Club in 2000.
Nov. 15
· Grand opening of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Magic Kingdom Park in 1980.
· Downtown Celebration officially opens in 1996.
· Backstage Pass at then Disney-MGM Studios closes in 1999.
· The Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge open in 2000.
