The big question for 2009 is: “What will you celebrate?” That is the question being asked by the Walt Disney World Resorts. Next year’s Walt Disney World celebration is “What will you celebrate?” which will be replacing the current celebration “A Year of a Million Dreams.”

As part of the celebration, Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts will be offering free admission on your birthday!! What a birthday present! Free admission can only be granted on the actual day of your birthday. But in order to get you free admission you must register at www.DisneyParks.com. Click on the “What will you celebrate?” icon and follow the instructions. Admission will be a one park one day ticket and online registration prior to arriving at the park is required. For guests who are annual or season pass holders, they can still receive something special from Disney on the day of their birthday. Since passholders already get admission into Disney Theme Parks, they will be offered a special birthday fast pass. Whether or not you know if you will be heading to a Disney park pre-register online so should you decide to go, you will already have your free admission pass.

Other celebrations available in 2009 include, but this is only the beginning, true love, triumphs and first visits. However, Disney will help make any occasion that you may be celebrating just as magical by customizing your trip.

Don’t forget that if you are celebrating something during your visit to Walt Disney World resorts, make sure you stop by any guest service location and pick up your celebration button. Buttons which will continue to be offered include “Happy Birthday,” “Happy Anniversary,” “Just Married” and “1st Visit.” With the new celebration, Disney plans to add a variety of new buttons, which include "Just Engaged," a new version of "Happy Birthday," "Family Reunion," and they are adding a fill in your own "Magical Celebration" button.

Fresh new entertainment, exciting firework shows and dinner shows will also be a part of what the Walt Disney World Resorts are going to offer during 2009. Many of the traditional shows will remain, some will be tweaked for the celebration and new ones will become part of the Disney magical experience.

New dining options, which will be offered starting in Spring 2009, will enhance any romantic getaway. Including sweetheart dinners for two, which include a three-course meal at select restaurants, in-room dining celebrations and romantic escapes. One option is taking a cruise on Disney World’s Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake aboard the Grand One, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa's yacht.

Birthday parties, treasure cakes with special surprise in center (at select dining venues) and their new “pop up” party pack will be available. The “pop-up” party pack includes a centerpiece and goodie bags that include a Mickey Party hat, game, coloring book and crayons. Perfect for any birthday celebration. Don’t forget to check out the new Goofy’s Birthday Party available at Downtown Disney to help celebrate your little one’s birthday.
