If you have ever used a computer system with multiple monitors such as Microsoft Windows XP you know how great it can be, but there are a few shortcomings.
I never liked the fact that the task bar only appears on one monitor or the other. Evidently I am not the only one. I was recently introduced to a program called Oscar's Multi-Monitor Taskbar. This handy little program extends the task bar to both monitors. It also allows you to instantly pop a window from one monitor to the other with a single click of the mouse.
The maker claims millions of downloads in the past five years and the stability of the code seems to indicate continuous improvement.
The website also describes how you can use the Synergy software program I wrote about in the article, "How to use your mouse and keyboard on multiple computers without extra hardware" to make two computers with multiple monitors appear to be a single system. Pretty cool stuff!
I use the free version which is just great; however, there is also a "Pro" version with additional features for 28 dollars.
If you use multiple monitors, do yourself a favor and install this software.
