If you are thinking that "Tech Sex" is sending naughty text messages to others in your class, think a little more. It turns out that more and more teens are sending naked or near naked photos of themselves to their peers.
According to a new poll cited on nerve.com, one in five U.S. teens has sent nude or near-nude images to someone by phone or e-mail, and twice as many have sent "suggestive electronic messages."
I suppose this is not all that different from days gone by when students would pass dirty notes to each other, but let's face it, photos are far more explicit. And don't forget, no matter how much your "boyfriend" promises to keep the pictures to himself, they will find their way onto the internet.
The question becomes how do parents, teachers, and other authorities protect these foolish youths? Youngsters have First Amendment rights to make idiots of themselves like the rest of us don't they? Well, maybe not. All I know is if my mother ran across a naked picture of me or anyone else my age when I was young, it would have been bye-bye cell phone!
