Outfest 2009 
will be held Sunday, October 11 from noon to 7pm in the Philly Gayborhood, There will be a host of pet contests held on the main stage starting at 12:30pm. The petshow is a "for fun" contest with light-hearted catagories like "pet with the longest tail", "most exotic pet" and of course "gayest pet".
Attendees are all welcomed to bring a leahed, vaccinated and well-behaved pet, and the dog turnout is always high and diverse. Outfest is slightly less regimented than the Equality Forum street celebration and more condusive to "dogwatching".
Several rescue organizations will be taking part in Outfest and a PET ZONE will be set up to offer pet care advice and help find adoptive homes for some deserving homeless pets.
Alex the groomer will be roaming around with the rainbow poodles offering grooming advice, dog treats and photo ops, not always in that order.
