Marty Turco turned in another top-shelf performance (41 saves) Monday night as the Stars won 3-2 in a shootout against the Columbus Blue Jackets; however, Brad Richards suffered what is being called an 'upper body injury,' by the team, but is thought to be a broken wrist.

The aforementioned Richards struck first to put the Stars up 1-0 in the first period. The second period saw the Jackets' R.J. Umberger score two goals, one on a power play and another, only about a minute later, at full strength to put Columbus up 2-1. The Stars tied it up, eventually forcing overtime as Loui Ericksson tapped in a pass from Trevor Daly.

James Neal, well on his way to becoming a fan favorite, scored the only goal in the shootout, on a quick wrister, to give the Stars the 3-2 victory.

Still, the Richards injury could potentially send the Stars' lines into disarray. Obviously, some clarification on the team's behalf will allow us to better gauge the overall effects and the timeframe we're looking at for Richards.

Richard Durrett over at the DMN Stars' Blog has given some thought to what the lines might look like in Richards' absence.
