According to a recent survey the State of Texas ranks 3rd in the nation regarding being friendly for small businesses and entrepreneurs. But for many small business owners and entrepreneurs the ranking is no surprise because of all of the incentive Texas small business owners currently possess. These statewide and local incentives include low business tax rates, workers compensation benefits, and state and local government spending issues which positively impact small business owners and entrepreneurs.

Current Republican Governor Rick Perry has been one of the key participants in helping ensure the small business owner and entrepreneur is able to be successful throughout Texas. In his recent re-election campaign Governor Perry stopped in Wichita Falls and Tyler, TX to discuss how business owners are keep to the strengthening of Texas’ economy.

“Because we have kept it simple and stuck to our guns, entrepreneurs know that they can succeed on their own merits without being taxed, regulated and frivolously sued out of existence,” said Gov. Perry. “They also know that our workforce is getting stronger by the day because we have improved the quality of public education by emphasizing accountability, teacher incentive pay and mastery of the basic subjects.”

But what is the Democrat gubernatorial candidate Bill White saying about the small business owner and his desires to maintain or improve what Perry has already done. According to his platform there has been little talk regarding the small business owner and his expectations on how small business owners and entrepreneurs will benefit from his election in November.

Leading me to ask the question is either candidate truly concerned about the forward movement and successes of the small business owner and entrepreneur? What significant impact will either candidate make towards helping more small business owners keep their doors open and yield profits?

Before you go to the polls be sure to perform due diligence when researching which candidate is truly behind the success of small business owners. Visit each candidates websites Bill White at www.billwhiteforgovernor.com and Governor Rick Perry at www.rickperry.org.
