A photo I took and later edited using the Photoshop Mobile app.  Not bad right?

Photoshop Mobile is an app that has been released for the iPhone and just peaked as the number one free app on iTunes.  It is a mobile version of the popular Photoshop program and is useful for photographers.

The Photoshop Mobile app allows you to take and edit photos with many of the same features of the website.  You can crop, change the exposure, saturation, tint, or make it black and white.  Other features include making the picture look like a sketch and use several custom filters.  The app is fairly easy to use in the hands of a Photoshop master, but most of us (myself included) will not notice a huge difference in them.  I liked some of the filters and the sketch tool but most of the other features I can do with other apps.

All in all, Photoshop Mobile is an average app that is worth a download if you are a photographer or a Photoshop fanatic.  I really didn’t get much thrill out of this app as I feel it doesn’t do much.  It’s not terrible, and it is free so it may be worth a download, but don’t get your hopes up on this one.  I don’t expect the app to last long in the top downloads list.  The only reason it got there to begin with was because Photoshop is a popular website.  The best camera app is still Camera Genius.  I’d skip Photoshop Mobile.
