Half way to St. Patrick’s Day in the Twin Cities
September 17th might as well be just another Thursday, right? Wrong. It is officially half way to St. Patrick’s Day and time to celebrate. If everyone is Irish on St. Patrick’s Day, then everyone can be ½ Irish on ½ way to St. Patrick’s Day.
So grab your shamrock or shillelagh or just a green tee shirt and head out to enjoy the fun. Your Nightlife Examiner has found three great spots to celebrate.
Drop by
Keegan’s for a 3-day celebration of Irish trivia, Irish Dancers, Irish music and a host of Irish food and drink. If the party is this good for ‘1/2 way’, imagine how good St. Patrick’s Day will be.
Kip’s is holding off a week and celebrating on the 24th. Good news: you don’t have to miss anything. Celebrate with $2.50 Guinness all night and a delish appetizer buffet from 4:30pm-6:30pm
Shamrocks is going all out, too. ‘Dublin’ lots of great food and drinks, corned beef and cabbage and yes, green beer. The fun starts at 4pm. Stop by if you’re in the neighborhood (995 W. 7
th in St. Paul.
Keep in mind that you’ll have to endure an entire Minnesota winter before you get to the actual St. Patrick’s Day in March, so enjoy your ½ celebration!! But since its not a leap year, you’re one day closer to the real thing.
