Your Nightlife Examiner chekcing out the local talent

 Do you like beer? Of course you do. Do you like good music? Who doesn’t. Dig bar food after a couple of beers? I know you do.
 

The Bulldog is your kinda place. Long touted as a ‘college bar’ the Bulldog is so much more. There is some college riff-raff, but they’re all really well behaved – adding to the great atmosphere.  Saturday night is bumpin' with wall to wall people.  Mid-week isn't as bad but this place is pretty popular all week.

The bar serves up all kinds of beer – including hard cider. And the kitchen offers some of the best bar food this side of the Mississippi. The tater tot hot dish and meatloaf are almost enough to make me give up pizza.
 

And once you’re done eating, sit back and enjoy one of the best juke boxes in the city – old stuff, new stuff, tons of Replacements, Kings of Leon and Rolling Stones and I could go on all night.  One of my new favorite past times is filling up that juke box and throwing darts under the watchful eye of the plaster Bulldog - see photo.
 

Best of all, the Bulldog is super close to another all-time favorite – Red Dragon. So when you’re ready for a change of scenery, meander into the dragon for a late night happy hour (Mon, Tue, Wed) and end your Uptown night on a happy, mellow note.
