Holidazzle Parade
What would any holiday be without a parade? The lights, the pageantry, the spectacle, SANTA!!! It must be 2008 Target Holidazzle Parade. This Minneapolis holiday tradition really delivers in the dazzle department.
Take your spot on the Nicollet mall – between 12th and 4th streets on any Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday from November 28th to December 21st for a quick and cheery holiday treat. The parade starts at 6:30 and lasts about 30 minutes leaving you plenty of night time left to make merry.
While Santa is scheduled to make an appearance and is usually the highlight, he is joyfully escorted by host of holiday fairytale characters, bands and floats. It is almost impossible to leave after the parade feeling anything but jolly.
Also look for some restaurants along the mall setting up shop outside to tempt you with festive treats and hot holiday beverages.
A few words of advice – get your tickets now so you don’t miss out. And plan to dress warm or steak out a spot in a skyway, this IS Minnesota after all.
