Chipotle tends to make me happy. Very happy, actually. Oh, I can't ever actually finish an entire burrito, or a full serving of soft tacos for that matter, but I love their salsas (who doesn't love a choice?) and their guacamole is amazing. Plus, Chipotle uses pork from the famous and fabulous Niman Ranch, which totally appeals to my not-so-hidden food snob.
Today, Chipotle officially launched their online ordering system, making the Mexican foodshop even more attractive to internet-happy shut-ins like me. (Kidding. I go out almost every day. Except today.)
Ordering online appears pretty simple - you order and pay and can place large orders, which I'm sure is a godsend for the poor people stuck ordering for a whole office full of starving employees. And the site remembers your favorites, just in case you forget (really, I'm sure that does make ordering online easier.)
You still have to pick your order up in person, of course, but the because the restaurant will now have a team in the back of the place dedicated just to putting together online orders, lines should be shorter and move more quickly for everybody. (Although, I've always been surprised by just how quickly those lines do move. I'm always discouraged when I walk in, but pretty pleasantly at how quickly I get my food.)
Really, I love online ordering. Almost as much as I love guac. Now, if we could just help the one near my house get that liquor license...
