Great news for singing St. Louis families! Start warming up those vocal cords and get ready to shine for season nine!

FOX 2 is sponsoring the annual St. Louis Idol contest in collaboration with Y98 FM. The winner will receive two front row tickets to the American Idols Live Concert at Scott Trade Center on August 29, while two runners up will also receive tickets to the concert.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, July 7 from 10 AM to 1 PM, judges will be at Chesterfield Mall and St. Clair Square to hear potential contestants' audition for the prizes and possible inclusion in the American Idol show.

Contestants will be given a 30 second a capella audition. Highest rated singers can win a guaranteed audition in Denver, Colorado on July 14 for American Idol  season 9.
