You may know Carrie Underwood as the 2005 American Idol winner and multi-platinum selling country music artist; but do you know the Carrie behind that powerhouse voice that has won her award after award and given her one number one hit after another?

When she’s not being Carrie Underwood, the reigning Academy of Country Music’s entertainer of the year, she’s just Carrie who loves to play trivia games and go bowling.  That's what Carrie told GAC TV’s Nan Kelly about what she prefers doing when she's not touring or recording music.

Bowling is the activity the Oklahoma native says she enjoys doing the most on a night out with her friends; “It’s interactive, you can joke around, you can talk….have fun and be goofy”.

Is she any good you wonder? “I’m a decent bowler. Sometimes I’m really good and sometimes I’m not so great”.

Not so great is definitely not in Carrie’s vocabulary when it comes to her music as she says her career is the thing that can always get her from a not so great mood to a fabulous one. “Performing and recording are things that make me happy….when I get off stage I’m automatically going to be in a better mood anyway so that’s the thing I do to get myself in a good mood”.

Fortunately for Carrie, her performances do not just benefit her mood but her career as well. Earlier this year, Carrie took home her fourth Grammy and third in the category of best female country vocal performance. She has also been a big winner at the ACM and CMA awards for her recordings and performances.

Another big winner at the major country music award ceremonies is a person Carrie would like to catch a glimpse of the life of. “If I could trade places with somebody for a day I’d probably pick somebody that’s been in the business for a long time, I wish I could have all of their memories as well. I’d pick somebody like Dolly Parton just because if I could walk through her house and see her pictures, I mean that would just be amazing to me”, Carrie told Kelly on GAC TV.

Amazing can be the one word to describe Carrie’s life since taking the 2005 Idol title. Her two albums have sold a total of 11 million copies worldwide and released ten number one hits, a first any country artist has achieved from their debut albums. She is currently working on her third album which is scheduled for release this fall.

Even with all the good that’s happened to Carrie, she still remains humble about the not so good. “I don’t think I’d change anything that’s happened over the past two years, even the bad stuff, I was able to learn from and it just goes along with the theory that every single thing that you do in life leads you to where you are right now. Everything has its purpose, I don’t think I’d change a thing”, said Carrie.

From what Carrie Underwood is currently contributing to the country music world, it’s safe to say fans would not want her to change a thing as well.
