Sony and Netflix have announced that starting in November, PS3 owners who are Netflix members will be able to stream Netflix videos through their PS3 system.

Until now, Netflix streaming has required a computer or XBox 360 (which required a $50/year XBox Live Gold membership for access). Sony will be providing access at no additional charge. Netflix access will initially require a Blue Ray disc, but the feature will ultimately be added to the system firmware.
