Wooden radio
Who can resist those big wooden knobs?

Remember those afternoons during the late 30’s – the depression was going on, and the family would curl up by the radio, you know – the one with the giant dial and wooden cabinet, and listen to the news, or the latest big band? Ok, you may not remember them, but at least your parents or grandparents may have told you about them.

Well, those good times are back with the Mango Radio – a retro, yet modern take on the wooden radio. And while the big bands may have been largely replaced by the latest top-40, the news is much the same and who knows? We might even have a nice little depression to bring the family around the radio after the new HDTV gets repossessed.

Is this innovative? That seems a stretch of the definition. But you have to admit – it’s a unique design and I wouldn’t mind having one on my kitchen counter or on my office desk.
