Chumby: technology you can cuddle

Is it a pillow? A computer? or some
kind of alien hybrid?
It’s not that kind of cuddling. The Chumby is basically a Wifi enabled device in a pillow that can be configured to play music, display sports scores, weather, news and handle other applications such as messaging and serving as an alarm clock. Presumably, if a drop in your portfolio has given you a headache, you can rest your head on it as it displays stock quotes.
Cuddly, these androids come with

Chumby is due to be replaced in several hundred years by Gigolo Joe from the movie Artificial Intelligence:A.I. In addition to news, messaging and stock quotes, he’ll be able to handle the other kind of cuddling as well.
Seriously, I know this might be innovative, and it might even be cute. But if you’re shopping for an innovative and high-tech Wifi device, get an ITouch. It may not be cuddly, but it’s just as cute and fits in your pocket or purse.
Curiously, if they took the same technology and packaged it as an ITouch competitor at a lower price point, it could be very interesting. With its open-source Linux deveoper-friendly platform, it could find all sorts of uses.
