The following is a summary of the ratings awarded by the MPAA to films, which are currently in theaters and those soon to be released. Along with the rating given to the film there is also a brief statement provided by the MPAA for its rational.

Reason: “For some mild rude humor and peril.”
Up – PG
Reason: “For some peril and action.”
My Sister’s Keeper – PG-13
Reason: “For mature thematic content, some disturbing images, sensuality, language and brief teenage drinking.”
The Proposal – PG-13
Reason: “For sexual content, nudity and language.”
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen – PG-13
Reason: “For intense sequences of sci-fi action violence, language, some crude and sexual material, and brief drug material.”

Reason: “For crude and sexual content throughout, brief strong language and comic violence.”
Public Enemies – R
Reason: “For strong violence, some sex scenes, drug use and language.”
The Hangover – R
Reason: “For pervasive language, sexual content including nudity, and some drug material.”
