How will you spending your Weight?
My favorite book says: But they that WAIT on the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up on wings as eagles, they shall run and not grow weary, they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
We all love this scripture, right? It restores us and tells us that a change is coming if we just wait.
May I suggest that while you wait, you weight...or what I mean is, shift those things that bog you down, drain you, make you think small, give you distractions, bind you in FEAR, keep you from focusing, etc...these are people, places and things that weigh you down.) You know them, when they call your cell phone, you send them to voicemail. When you see them in the mall, you look busy doing something else...why are you hiding from the things that weight you down???
Now, how in the world can you walk and not get weary and walk and not faint if you are holding on to everyone else's stuff? Answer, you can't!
As a coach, I find that more often than not when a person fails to achieve their goals, it is because there is something weighting them down and preventing them from seeing clearly...It's not your fault. Many of us do not always take the time to clear our systems mentally and therefore we become susceptible to viruses that keep us unfocused, and untapped to the fulfillment of our purpose....
Weighting on the Creator will free you up to mount up, walk it out, run with focus....
And since you are waitng on Him because it is your true desire to say "I'm not moving until you bless me," you might as well be ready when he blesses you by clearing your system of all things that are counter-productive to your purpose and passion.
So here are a few tips to help you WEIGHT:
1. Run a virus scan - your mind is like your computer's CPU. If you don't periodically run McAfee or Norton Anti Virus, you will start to infect other people with your bad attitude, distractions, etc. Just like your computer performs this task weekly, you must too. Not allowing your mind to run at full capacity is detrimental to your life and the lives of those around you. You cannot control what others do but you can control how you respond to those things.
2. Minimize Associations with Mediocre People: When you are weightless, you will be able to PRESS - persistently run expecting supernatural success and then you will be ready to soar with the eagles at an altitude that leaves the vultures, pigeons, chickens, buzzards and turkeys beneath you because they cannot survive at your altitude. Use my +, -, / system and lose some weight! Experts don't say that you become like the 5 people you hang around for no reason; if you don't like who you've become, you need to weight....Another point here is that sometimes you know that something big is coming for you but if you are weighted down, you will not be ready. Be authentic enough to know when you need to lose a few pounds.
3. Visualize yourself weightless...Act as if.....without vision, the people will perish...can you see yourself living without the weights of the world on your shoulders? What does it look like? What will it take to get to that place? Be willing to do what is necessary....ask yourself, "How bad do I want it?" When you want it bad enough, you will see yourself weightless...flying free and sleeping soundly at night.
So while you wait, get lighter by weighting.
I'm waiting because I've already weighted....
PS - There were two farmers who prayed for rain. They both needed it to keep their crops (dreams) alive. One prepared for the rain and the other just kept praying without weighting....which one are you? Faith without works (giving God something to bless by clearing out your barns to receive the abundance) is DEAD.
