Gift ideas for the lovable pewter pirate in your life

Sure, it triggers nightmares. But it looks nice

In honor of the 2008 holiday season, I have compiled a list of eight gifts that every Buccaneer fan would love to have under the tree or stuffed in their stocking.

8) Reebok Tampa Bay Buccaneers Medium Size Duffle Bag. $29.99. This gym bag will show their team spirit loud and proud. There's even enough room to fit several other items on this list inside of this bag to complete the combo purchase. But no pressure.

7) Wincraft Tampa Bay Buccaneers Custom 12inch Round Clock. $36.99. This wall clock can be customized with the name of the Bucs fan in your life. They'll never miss another kickoff again, oh yeah, or that dinner date they promised you either.

6) Tampa Bay Buccaneers Tool Belt. $39.99. Help the resident handyman through his arduous work week by replacing his dull, leather tool belt, with this ultra-sleek Buccaneer hardware holder. He'll never have an excuse to not fix the hole in the wall he caused while watching last week's game...unless he's watching this week's game.

5) NFL Tampa Bay Buccaneers Women's Greatest Play V-Neck T-Shirt. $26.99. Listen up men! Don't neglect the female fan in your life by passing over the NFL shop and assuming all she cares about is jewelry or fragrances. Because in reality, she'd probably prefer all three.

4) Skin It Tampa Bay Buccaneers Ipod Skin. $17.99. Since your favorite fan is likely mowing the lawn while listening to the latest Bucs podcast, why not let the neighbors know who's team colors are bled in your house by dressing their iPod with this slick skin.

3) Wilson Tampa Bay Buccaneers Logo Football. $24.99. Nothing quite says "holiday time" like going outside and tossing around the ol' pigskin. It brings friends and families together, and more importantly, it helps work off that second slice of pumpkin pie you ate 20 minutes beforehand.

2) Mitchell & Ness Tampa Bay Buccaneers Throwback Cuffed Knit Hat. $19.99. Now I know there isn't much to celebrate when it comes to the old creamsicle uniforms and all of the futility that went with them, but nevertheless it is a part of our team's history, and you can either run from it or embrace it. I mean, who wouldn't want to commemorate Leeman Bennett and Sam Wyche by donning this throwback cap?

1) Warner Brothers Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2002 Greatest Games Series. $39.99. This is a DVD off all three network broadcasts of the 2002 Buccaneer playoff games, including Super Bowl XXXVII. It is a must-have for die-hard fans, especially those of us who had to endure all of the 3-13 seasons and busted draft picks along the way.
