At the end of every spring, TV viewers everywhere take in the season finales of their favorite shows. Often they are left wondering just how those cliffhangers will be resolved in the fall, or what jams popular characters will find themselves in next season. The thing is not all shows are promised a return in the fall. Because of that fact, here is a final salute to the series that have been cancelled.
ABC has cancelled “Cupid,” “Dirty Sexy Money,” “Eli Stone,” “In the Motherhood,” "Kyle XY, "Life on Mars," “Pushing Daisies,” “Samantha Who,” Surviving Suburbia,” and “The Unusuals.” While reading this list some may be thinking I have never heard of these shows – and those very thoughts are the reason these shows will not be returning.
CBS cancelled “Eleventh Hour,” "The Ex List," "Harper's Island," “The Unit,” and “Worst Week.” While Fox has cancelled: “King of the Hill,” “Prison Break,” “Sit Down, Shut Up,” “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles,” and "Without a Trace."
NBC has called it quits with: "Crusoe," “Kath and Kim,” “Kings,” “Knight Rider,” “Life,” “Lipstick Jungle,” “Medium” (moving to CBS), “My Name is Earl,” "My Own Worst Enemy."
The CW has cancelled “Everybody Hates Chris,” “The Game,” “Privileged,” and “Reaper.” And in the world of cable FX has cancelled "The Riches;" TNT ends "Saving Grace;" USA Network says no more to "The Starter Wife;" and A&E cancels "The Beast."
It’s a tough world out there in TV land. Fortunately for every show that goes, another is put in its place – most likely that one will be cancelled too. Keep watching TV fans and stay tuned for the new fall TV lineup.
