Bone chilling Halloween recipes

  If you're hosting a Halloween party or wanting to add some excitement to make this Halloween shine at meal or snack time, you'll want to provide an assortment of easy, creative, inexpensive treats for the kids- with little baking or hassle. Here are some bone chilling ideas.

Here are some great ideas for some spooktacular Halloween food!

 

Skeleton Bones

3 large egg white

1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar

1/8 teaspoon salt

2/3 cup white sugar

1/2 teaspoons vanilla

Directions:

Preheat oven 200 degrees. Line baking sheet with parchment paper. In medium size bowl beat eggs whites, cream tartar and salt on high until fluffy. Gradually beat in sugar. Add vanilla. Place in pastry bag with a plain medium pipping tip. Place 3 “ bone shapes on to parchment paper baking sheet. Bake 1 hour until set. Turn off oven. Dry in oven 1 hour. Makes 4-5 dozen small bones.



 

Skeleton Bone Sandwiches

Use bone shaped cookie cutters to cut peanut butter and jelly bones, bologna bones, tuna bones, etc. Pile high on a black plate and watch them bones disappear.



 

Bone Bread Sticks

1 can refrigerated pizza dough

Olive oil

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese

bone shape cookie cutter or cardboard stencil

Directions: Roll out cookie dough on cutting board. Brush olive oil on dough so cookie cutter and/or dough will not stick. Cut bone shapes out of dough. Place dough bones on a greased cookie sheet. Sprinkle with seasoning and cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 8 minutes, until golden brown.
