Sometimes it’s fun to go back to basics and make something that screams comfort.
Making this dish from scratch puts a wow factor on an old favorite. Don’t be scared off by making homemade rolls, they are much easier than you might think and only need 20 minutes of 'hands on' time! (They are even easier if you own a bread maker because it does all the mixing)

Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef (I used ground round)
½ teaspoon dried thyme
½ teaspoon cumin
½ teaspoon celery salt
½ teaspoon chili powder
Pinch clove
½ cup ketchup
1 T Worcestershire sauce
2 T dark brown sugar
1 T red wine vinegar
¼ cup water
Directions:
In a small bowl, combine the dried thyme, cumin, celery salt, chili powder and cloves. Stir to combine.
In a heavy bottom sauté pan with high sides, cook ground beef. Drain all but a tablespoon of fat. Add ketchup, Worcestershire, dark brown sugar, and red wine vinegar. Stir to combine, then add in water. If it’s still too sticky you can add more water—a little at a time.
Top on homemade buns!
