Market Square, on the corner of 14 Mile and Southfield Road
One of the great benefits of living in Metro Detroit is the access to great markets. One of my favorite spots is Market Square on the corner of 14 Mile and Southfield Road. If you have ever been in there, you know  why so many of the locals shop there.   It may be a small store by scale, but their offerings are big  by means of convenience. They make some of the greatest pre-made gourmet dinners around, showcase a vast deli assortment and have a premium  selection of butcher preferred meats.

One of my favorite things about going to Market Square is that the staff is not only friendly, but very helpful, fast and efficient in servicing their customers. That is why when I decided to entertain for Thanksgiving this year, I put my order in for one of their turkey’s. Now all I need to worry about is how to figure out a quick clean-up plan!

When I went in to discuss my party plans with the butcher, I had my questions in place and he of course provided me with great answers as well quick tips on how to successfully pull off a great Thanksgiving dinner.  What a great way to learn about how prepare for big events and see what services they provide. (All you have to do is ask)  So here are a few of the items we went over to make this holiday dinner a success!

Here are some of the questions we went over:

-How many people would I be serving? (He even suggested the size of turkey.)
-What kind of stuffing would I like?
-Would I like the bird stuffed or unstuffed? (Oh yes, who knew there were so many stuffing options?)
-Would I like THEM to cook it for me? (WAIT? Cook it FOR ME? REALLY??!)

Yes, they also have options of having the turkey cooked FOR you, PLUS, they could even provide ALL the sides. So for those of you who do not have the time to mess around in the kitchen….consider it done.

I love to cook, It’s my passion. But sometimes it’s just nice to sit back and catch up with family and friends without consuming all my time with cooking. Isn’t that what the holidays are all about?

Don’t have time to cook, Don’t want to Cook, Can’t Cook?? Market Square will prepare your 10-12 pound  cooked turkey, a choice of 4 sides, rolls, AND a choice of pie, all for $89! Now that’s gourmet in a snap! (Remember, even your own local market may provide the same service)

Thanksgiving is only days away…so hurry in and order your turkey now!   (Especially if you want it cooked by the “Market” themselves).

Happy Thanksgiving!
